Meet Dr. Stan Turnipseed
Dr. Turnipseed has been a member of the University General Dentistry team for 11 years. He served a 1-year residency at the VA Medical Center in 2002 before joining UGD in 2003. His primary focus as a doctor is dental restoration with an emphasis on cosmetic applications. His goal is to provide comprehensive oral healthcare for patients of all ages.
Conservative in approach, Dr. Turnipseed prefers his cosmetic work to be subtle and natural-looking. He finds out what the patient wants and then demonstrates the possibilities. His goal is to restore teeth back to their original size and shape. Professionally he enjoys nothing more than giving patients the opportunity to have the beautiful, natural smiles they’ve always wanted.
Dr. Turnipseed attended the University of Alabama on Presidential Scholarship and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1997. He then chose dentistry as his calling and graduated from UAB School of Dentistry in 2001, receiving the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Endodontics.
Dr. Turnipseed delivers oral hygiene classes with the Children’s Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa. He’s a deacon at his church, teaches Sunday school and coaches Little League, where three of his children play baseball.
